When the library does not have an article or a book chapter that you need, you may request it via interlibrary loan (ILL).

Find the ILL request form when you're searching Primo, conveniently linked at the top of the search results page:

You'll also see it in an item's record (the view you see when you click a title). When you click this option, it will autofill the form with information specific to the item on the screen:

Or, on the library's website:

  1. Along the top of the library's website, select RESOURCES.

  2. In the expanded menu, look under LIBRARY for the Interlibrary Loan link and click it. See a screen capture below.

  3. If you're ready to submit a request, click the Article or Book Request button located in middle of the page. You may be prompted to login to access this form. TIP: The pre-selected default on the form is a book chapter request. If you need an article, be sure to change it!

* Please note:

  • ILL service is only available to currently enrolled APUS students, faculty and staff.
  • ILL can be used to source electronic sources only
  • Due to licensing and copyright rules, page limitations apply for longer works, such as books.  You may request 1-2 chapters.
  • ILL cannot be used for required readings. For help with textbooks and required readings, contact ECM@apus.edu.

Read more about ILL policies, procedures and timelines on the library's interlibrary loan page.
