Librarians are available every day (including weekends and holidays) - until 10:00 PM Eastern time (US) most nights! - to assist you with your research.  Find our regular and holiday schedules below.

 

Regular schedule: 


Times below are in the Eastern time zone (U.S.). Convert to your time zone if needed. 

Holiday services vary (see below).

Available 365 days per year (including holidays).

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM 
  • Friday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM 
  • Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM 
     

Live Chat:

Available every day, except university-wide holidays (see below).

  • Monday - Thursday: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM 
  • Friday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM 
  • Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM 

When librarians are offline, the Library Chatbot can assist you by helping you search for useful FAQs. Or, you can submit a ticket and we'll follow up with you by email as soon as we're back online!
 

Research Consultations (screen sharing)

Available weekdays, with some exceptions (see below).

  • Monday - Friday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

 


Holiday schedule


On university-wide holidays, librarians will be available by email only, but you can still rely on timely assistance!

Upcoming 2025/2026 university-wide holidays:

  • Veteran's Day (Nov. 11)
  • Thanksgiving (Nov. 27 & 28)
  • Christmas (Dec. 25)
  • New Year's Day (Jan. 1)

Additionally, research consultations (screen-sharing sessions) will be paused around major fall and winter holidays, to allow our team members time to recharge and spend quality time with family. Librarians will still be available by email (every day) and/or live chat (every day except the holidays listed above).

Planned research consultation breaks:
