First, be sure you're signed in to the library.

  • Use the Library link that is provided in your eCampus portal or your classroom. If you encounter a login screen, your AMU/APU ID and password should work.

Next, quickly check the Library Notices. Before troubleshooting, be sure that the problem isn't on the database provider's end.

If your problem persists, these two troubleshooting steps solve the majority of technical problems that occur in the library:

1. Clear your browser's cache.

2. Try another browser. If you use Edge or Safari, try downloading Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome (both are free, and work well with the library's website and databases).

If you've tried clearing your cache and a different browser and still experience problems with library resources, there are a few other things to consider:

Are you on a VPN?  If yes, then try disconnecting from your VPN.  Then, navigate back to the library and see if you can access resources correctly.

Are you using a government computer? If so, see more troubleshooting steps here: I use a government or military computer and cannot access the APUS Library databases. What should I do?

Are you using Google Chrome? There is a known glitch for some Chrome users: When using the library's "Everything" search box, make sure to click the "Search" button to return search results. Do NOT use the "enter" key on your computer, as it may open an empty or blank "untitled" browser tab.
