Psychological tests and measurements, for independent research, can be found by searching the psychological literature and by using collections of published psychological tests and measurements.

The American Psychological Association’s Finding Information About Psychological Tests is an excellent guide explaining this process in detail.

Once a psychological test or measurement has been identified, reviews of the instrument can help determine its suitability. In many cases, the instrument is not freely available for use making it necessary to purchase a copy from the rights holder to view the instrument. Test collections and test reviews often make available purchasing information.
