The Summon discovery tool is sometimes unable to display information from some publishers and journal websites properly in the left portion of the screen. When this happens you get the message to open the resource in a new website. There are several courses of action.
- Click the link indicated to reach the Journal website and search for your article by title, or use the journal archives to find the appropriate volume and issue and browse the content for your article.
- You may want to try using the “Open Content in New tab” option at the bottom of the right frame. Many times this will open to the article. If it doesn’t open the article, it will open a new website where you need to search for the appropriate volume and issue to find the article.
- You may want to try a different source (if the option appears in the right frame). Materials provided by various vendors display differently and sometimes another vendor display will work just fine.
